Supported formats and limits
Video uploads
Upload MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 2 GB. The file must contain a readable video stream; transcription also needs audible speech. An extension alone does not guarantee a compatible codec. If the file fails, export a standard MP4 from your original editor and try that copy.
Duration and daily limits
1 free video per day. Pro: 60 processing minutes per month. Max: 120 processing minutes per month. Video length: Free ≤ 10 min · Pro ≤ 30 min · Max ≤ 60 min. New videos per day: Free 1 · Pro / Max 6. 40 processing jobs per day. Monthly export minutes: Pro 180 · Max 360. NewSubtitles.
Subtitle files
Video projects import SRT and VTT. The independent free tools also read text cues from SBV and ASS/SSA and can produce SRT, VTT, SBV or TXT, depending on the tool. Those tools accept up to 2 MB of subtitle text and 10,000 cues. Formatting from the original may not survive conversion.
Export quality
Free video exports are limited to 720p and include a NewSubtitles watermark. Pro and Max allow up to 1080p without our watermark. Output remains bounded by the source resolution; a larger setting cannot restore detail that was never recorded.
Common questions
Is a 20-minute video included in Free?
No. Free supports each video up to 10 minutes. A 20-minute video fits Pro; a 45-minute video requires Max. A video over 60 minutes must be shortened before import.
Does Max remove the file-size and daily limits?
