Fonts, colours and subtitle animation
Start with a preset
Open the style controls and choose a preset close to the look you need. Preview it on both a bright frame and a dark frame. Use font size, colour, outline and background together to keep text readable.
Refine the appearance
Use Font, Layout and Animate to adjust the available controls. Check long lines and fast speech, not only the first caption. Word-based effects depend on usable word timings; a manually imported transcript may not have the same word detail as a generated one.
Preview the actual output
Watch at the size your audience will use. Export a short clip to check font rendering and animation before rendering a long video. SRT, VTT and TXT exports contain subtitle text rather than the complete visual design. See export options.
