Your first captioned video

1. Import your footage

Open the workspace and upload an MP4, MOV or WebM you have permission to edit. Wait until the source finishes importing. If a social link fails, use the original file instead. See formats and limits before uploading a long video.

2. Generate and correct captions

Open Subtitles and generate a draft. Listen through the video and correct names, numbers and punctuation. Select a line to check its timing; split or merge lines when a sentence feels awkward. Automatic captions always need a review.

3. Style and preview

Choose a subtitle style, then adjust the font, placement and canvas. Preview at phone size and make sure captions do not cover faces. Changes autosave after editing; resolve any save error before leaving the project.

4. Export your video

Open Export and choose Export full video. Wait for a completed result in Exports, then select Download MP4. Open the downloaded file and check the start, middle and end. See export options for watermark, resolution and subtitle-file details.
