Generate automatic subtitles
Before generating
Wait for import to finish and play the source to confirm the voice is audible. Open Subtitles and generate captions. Processing runs as a job; a queued or running task is not a finished transcript.
Review the draft
Listen while reading each line. Correct names, dates, numbers and specialised vocabulary first. Background music, accents, overlapping voices and quiet recordings can reduce recognition quality. Automatic transcription does not guarantee an exact transcript or an automatic translation.
If no useful text appears
Check whether the source contains speech rather than only music or silence. Read the task error and retry after resolving the source problem. Avoid starting duplicate jobs. You can also import an existing SRT or VTT and edit it in the project.
