Split SRT & VTT Subtitles by Time

Extract a time range from an SRT or VTT file. Trim boundary cues, keep their words and optionally reset the selected range to zero.

Subtitle text stays in this browser. Opening a video project uses the separate cloud video workflow.

Use the timeline you need

Enter the start and end of the segment in seconds. A cue crossing a boundary is shortened to the selected range, while its whole text is kept. Reset to zero for a separately cut video, or keep original timestamps to use the result on the full original timeline. This tool extracts subtitles, not video.

Know what is preserved

The output keeps plain text and millisecond timing. Fonts, positions, cue identifiers, styles and animations are not preserved. File processing stays in this browser, with a 2 MB combined input limit and up to 10,000 cues. Opening a video project uses the separate cloud workflow.

Put the checked result on a video

Download the SRT or VTT for another player, or continue to the video editor with the current subtitle result. Choose your video, check the beginning and end, adjust the style and render an MP4. Imported files must fit the video's duration. Video export follows the current account and plan limits.
