Choose the result first
Use burned-in captions when their appearance must travel with a video on a social feed. Use SRT or VTT when the destination player should let people switch captions on and off. A video and a subtitle file are different outputs.
1. Open your video
Open the workspace and upload the original MP4, MOV or WebM. A supported public TikTok link is another input option. Keep a copy of the source. Video-only uploads start a transcription draft when ready; attaching an SRT or VTT first skips that transcription. Importing does not publish the video.
2. Generate and review
Choose the spoken language or automatic detection and generate a draft. Play each section, correct names and numbers, then adjust starts and ends. Split long lines or merge a thought that was cut too early.
3. Make the words readable
Choose a caption style, set its size and position, and play the result at the size people will watch. Keep text away from faces, important action and platform controls. More animation is not a substitute for readable timing.
4. Export the right thing
Render an MP4 to put subtitles in the picture. Pro and Max also include SRT/VTT/TXT from a video project. Wait for processing to finish, download the result and check it in your destination player before posting.
