Privacy policy
Account and sign-in
NewSubtitles at getautocaptions.com uses your email address and account identifier to create and secure your account. If you choose Google sign-in, we request only your basic profile, verified email address and Google account identifier through openid, email and profile. Your name and profile image may be stored with your account. We do not receive your Google password or request access to Gmail, contacts or Drive for sign-in. Google API access tokens are not retained for ordinary sign-in.
How we use information
We use account information to identify your projects, provide the plan you select, prevent abuse and support account recovery. Session records can include an IP address and browser user agent. We do not sell Google profile information or use it for advertising. Choosing another integration, such as publishing a video, is a separate action with its own permissions.
Video, audio and subtitle processing
Video projects upload media to private Cloudflare storage. Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2, Workflows, Containers and Workers AI provide the application, storage and media processing. Video-link imports may contact the selected source platform and a download provider such as TikHub. If you explicitly use dubbing, the selected voice provider, such as MiMo or Kie, processes the text or recordings required for that action. Their services have their own data policies. The independent file-only subtitle conversion tools process subtitle text in your browser.
Storage and retention
Source videos have a maximum retention period of 7 days for Free and 30 days for paid plans, measured from creation. Finished videos expire after 7 days and temporary transcription audio after 1 day. Subtitle text, project metadata, account records and usage records can remain after media expires. Replacing an export can remove the previous file sooner. These periods do not make the service a backup; keep your own copies. Clearing browser data does not delete cloud records.
Payments and service providers
If payments are enabled and you purchase a plan, Stripe processes payment information. The application stores order and entitlement records needed to provide that plan. We do not receive your full card details. We share information with service providers only as needed for requested features, security and operation, or as required by law.
Cookies, access and choices
Essential cookies keep your session and anonymous project access working. Browser storage keeps preferences and editing state. You can sign out and stop using the service. To request access, correction or deletion of account or project data, email support@getautocaptions.com. We may need to verify ownership before acting. You can also revoke Google access in your Google account settings; revoking access does not itself delete data already stored in this service.
