1. Bring your source video
Start with the original Reel file on your device. Instagram URL importing is still being verified; uploading your original avoids depending on link availability.
2. Correct the transcript
Listen for names, dates and numbers. Correct each caption, then play the surrounding sentence. Use split and merge when a thought has been divided awkwardly, and check start/end times against the speech.
3. Check the frame
Preview a vertical crop if it fits your footage. Place text away from faces and the lower interface. Watch at phone size before exporting; text that looks large on a desktop can be small in a feed.
4. Export and check
Export a captioned MP4, preview it in Instagram and post it through your normal Reel workflow. The downloaded file contains the captions; no connected Instagram account is required to produce it.
